IONCROSS Freelancer Total War Teamspeak Instructions

Teamspeak can be used while playing TOTAL WAR for voice communication with other players.

Basic instructions for using Teamspeak:

Download Teamspeak 3 from http://www.teamspeak.com

Make sure that this is the version installed on your computer.
Please read the FAQ and the setup instructions on the site and in the help file.

After installing the program, go into the set up and under the "Voice" tab, check the "Push-To-Talk" box.
This is required!
If you don't, we can all hear an echo, which is annoying and eats up extra bandwidth.
Please do this BEFORE you log in to the server.

Assign a key that has nothing to do with the game such as the asterisk.
If you have a mouse with a middle button, you can map it to this key so you can talk and fight at the same time.
Go through the rest of the settings and set up as per your preference.

For now there are no passwords and this is an open server except for certain rooms.

Go into the server and ask if you are too loud \ low and adjust accordingly...
If you are asked to lower yourself, please do so without feeling offended.
You cannot hear how loud you are to others so rely on them to help you get set correctly.

The volume differences between everyone's setup needs to be minimal.
I would rather that you are too low and need to turn up rather than having you blow my face off because you are too loud.


VOIP SERVER RULES
Please keep the cursing down to a dull roar.
If you know that you're one to curse a lot, go to one of the mission channels with a buddy and knock yourselves out.

Otherwise, no swearing in:

1) The Lobby
2) N00b York Global
3) Any faction's Global (Clearly marked) channel.
4) Anytime you know there are young players on the same channel.
5) After someone has asked you to stop because you are offending them.
