While you play on IONCROSS, you must abide by the following rules. Using the
server indicates that you have read and agree to the following:
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE BELOW MENTIONED RULES AND GUIDELINES MAY RESULT IN
TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION OF YOUR PRIVILEGE TO USE ANY AND ALL IONCROSS
SERVICES. SUCH SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION OF PRIVILEGES IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION
OF IONCROSS ADMINISTRATION.
None of these rules are intended to detract from the gaming experience on
IONCROSS, in which case reasonable amounts of taunting or jeering as well as
reasonable cases of hunting or pursuing another player may be allowed unless
deemed unreasonable or malicious by an IONCROSS administrator.
GENERAL RULES
1) You will not harass, threaten, embarrass, stalk, or cause distress, unwanted
attention, or discomfort to another user (or Administrator)
2) You will not use any offensive, sexually explicit, harmful, threatening,
abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racially, ethnically
or otherwise objectionable remarks.
3) You will not impersonate administration of IONCROSS.
4) You will not violate any local, state, national or international law or
regulation while playing on IONCROSS. You may not use the server to engage in
illegal activity.
5) With the exception of in game sales of in game items, you may not market,
promote or advertise anything, or make any other form of solicitation (including
pyramid schemes and chain letters) on the IONCROSS server.
6) You will not arrange for the exchange or transfer of any pirated software or
other contraband while you are on IONCROSS.
7) You will not organize or form any groups based on slanderous or hate
philosophies. These include, but are not limited to, groups formed against race,
religion, and sexual orientation.
8) You will not attempt to interfere with, hack into, or decipher any
transmissions to or from the IONCROSS server.
9) You will not exploit any bug in the IONCROSS mod. You will not intentionally
use any bug found within the IONCROSS mod, whether or not it grants an unfair
advantage. You will not communicate the existence of any such bug (either
directly or through public posting) to any other player on IONCROSS. You will
report any such exploit immediately to IONCROSS administration.
10) You will not do anything that interferes with the ability of other IONCROSS
players to enjoy playing the game in accordance with its rules or that increases
the expense or difficulty of IONCROSS administration in maintaining IONCROSS for
the enjoyment of all of its users.
11) You will not intentionally accept an item that has been hacked or otherwise
manipulated outside of designed game mechanics from anyone inside or outside the
game world. IONCROSS administration has the right to confiscate any such illegal
items, even if a player had no prior knowledge of the item's origin, and no
reparations will be made.
12) You will not taunt or otherwise encourage other players to violate any Terms
of Use or game rules. Similarly, you will not allow another player to taunt you
into violating any Terms of Use or game rules.
13) You will not attempt to cheat in any way while using the IONCROSS server
through any means including, but not limited to running extra software and
modifying game data files. ANY CHEATING WHATSOEVER IS IN VIOLATION OF THIS
AGREEMENT AND MAY RESULT IN TERMINATION OR SUSPENSION OF YOUR PRIVILEGE TO USE
ANY AND ALL IONCROSS SERVICES. The definition of "cheating" is determined solely
by IONCROSS administration.
14) While using the server you are forbidden to run simultaneous copies of the
game or execute "fast user switches" in Windows XP. These activities are
considered "suspicious" and are in violation of this agreement.
15) "New York" is a starter system is a designated PVP-FREE ZONE. DO NOT ATTACK OTHER PLAYERS WITHIN NEW YORK.
THE FOLLOWING TYPES OF CHARACTER NAMES ARE UNACCEPTABLE:
1) Vile, profane, rude or racist names including swear words, anatomical
references, racial slurs in whole or in part and homonyms for these words in
whole or in part.
2) Combinations of words that produce an offensive result.
3) Copyrighted or trademarked names of products, characters, services or
concepts.
4) Names of current or former IONCROSS administration staff, or names similar
enough to these to cause confusion.
5) Names chosen with the intent of harming the reputation of a player, or
administration of IONCROSS.
6) Names containing titles within them, such as but not limited to: Lord, Lady,
Master, King, General, Governor, Father, Captain, Admiral, or those that cause
confusion with the automatic in-game ranking system.
7) Names based on a real life or historical figures that others might find
offensive, including infamous criminals, world leaders or organizations.
8) Names that include numbers, punctuation, and non-alphabetic characters.
IONCROSS administration is committed to making the IONCROSS experience as
enjoyable as possible to our users. Although IONCROSS administration cannot be
responsible for the actions of our users, we will not condone actions that do
not comply with the Terms of Use or actions that violate the general spirit of
game play. Players that violate game rules or Terms of Use may be subject to the
temporary suspension of their account and/or services as well as permanent
banning from IONCROSS.
BY CONNECTING TO THE IONCROSS SERVER YOU HEREBY AFFIRM THAT YOU HAVE READ AND
UNDERSTAND THE RULES AND POLICIES STATED ABOVE AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY THEM WHILE
ACCEPTING THE CONSEQUENCES IMPOSED BY THE OWNER AND/OR ADMINISTRATORS OF THE
IONCROSS SERVER. BY CONNECTING YOU SIGNIFY THAT YOUR USE OF THE IONCROSS SERVER
MAY BE SUSPENDED OR REVOKED AT ANY TIME WITH OR WITHOUT NOTIFICATION BY THE
OWNER AND/OR ADMINISTRATORS OF THE IONCROSS SERVER FOR ANY REASON INCLUDING
THOSE NOT SPECIFICALLY DISALLOWED BY THIS AGREEMENT. YOUR USE OF THE IONCROSS
SERVER FURTHER SIGNIFIES THAT YOU AGREE THAT THE IONCROSS OWNER AND/OR
ADMINISTRATORS MAY CHOOSE TO ENFORCE OR IGNORE ANY VIOLATIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT
AT THEIR DISCRETION AND ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PROVIDE ANYONE WITH THE OPPORTUNITY
TO CONTEST OR APPEAL THEIR DECISIONS.
YOU ALSO ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE IONCROSS SERVER, ALTHOUGH OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, IS
PRIVATE PROPERTY AND THAT YOU HAVE NO CLAIM TO OWNERSHIP OF ANY DATA LOCATED ON
THE IONCROSS SERVER OR ANY DATA STORAGE DEVICE EMPLOYED BY THE OWNER AND/OR
ADMINISTRATORS. THE OWNER AND/OR ADMINISTRATORS OF THE IONCROSS SERVER HAVE NO
OBLIGATION TO PROVIDE YOU WITH THE ORIGINAL OR ANY COPIES OF THE DATA ON THE
IONCROSS SERVER ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR ACCOUNT.
ADDITIONALLY, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THESE RULES AND POLICIES APPLY TO YOUR
ACCOUNT AND YOU AGREE TO ACCEPT FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE ACTIONS AND BEHAVIOR
OF ANY PERSON(S) INCLUDING OR OTHER THAN YOURSELF WHO USES YOUR ACCOUNT WITH OR
WITHOUT YOUR PERMISSION
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IN ORDER TO KEEP THE IONCROSS MOD A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR
EVERYONE, IONCROSS ADMINISTRATION MAY OCCASIONALLY FIND IT NECESSARY TO MODIFY,
ALTER, RESET, ADD OR REMOVE CERTAIN PARAMETERS WITHIN THE GAME AS REQUIRED OR
DESIRED TO CAUSE IT TO CONFORM TO THE GOALS OF THE OWNER AND/OR ADMINISTRATORS.
THESE CHANGES OR RESETS MAY AFFECT YOUR CHARACTER AND MAY CAUSE YOU SETBACKS
WITHIN THE GAME UNIVERSE.
THE OWNER AND/OR ADMINISTRATORS OF THE IONCROSS SERVER RESERVE THE RIGHT TO
CHANGE, REMOVE OR ADD TO THIS AGREEMENT AT ANYTIME WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OTHER
THAN MAKING THE CURRENT COPY OF THIS AGREEMENT READILY AVAILABLE AT THE OWNER'S
CURRENT PUBLICLY ACCESSIBLE WEB SITE.
IONCROSS and no member of the IONCROSS team are associated in any way with
neither Microsoft Corporation nor Digital Anvil.
